Volleyball team raises $1,782 for local cancer patients

The girls varsity volleyball team raised $1,782 for Marathon for a Better Life by hosting a volleyball tournament for 15 teams.

Callahan & Lints wrestle at states

Great grappling: On Feb. 3, Austin Lints recorded his 100th wrestling victory at the Class D competition. Then Lints and fellow wrestler Dylan Callahan came in second in their weight classes at the state qualifiers at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Up next: they wrestle at the state tournament Feb. 23-24 at the Times Union Center.

Carrie Krohn awarded full Siena soccer scholarship

Schoharie senior and soccer team captain Carolyn (Carrie) Krohn has been awarded full scholarship to Siena College.

Krohn was joined for a Feb. 12 signing event at her school by her family, including mother and Schoharie High School English teacher Marie Krohn, sisters and father.

1st annual Small Town Throwdown Cheer Competition

More than 500 people attended the first annual Small Town Throwdown Section 2 Cheer Competition hosted by SCS on Jan. 28. Visiting schools included Gloversville, Middleburgh, Norwich, Greenwich, Germantown, Northville, Mayfield, NDBG, Galway, OESJ, Fonda, & Greenville. Schoharie's varsity cheer team placed 7th overall. Great job!

Stephen Alescio tops 1,000 points in varsity career

Congrats to SCS senior Stephen Alescio on becoming the 4th male and 6th overall varsity basketball player to score more than 1000 career points.

At the Jan. 19 Scho-Burgh Cup at SUNY Cobleskill, Steve scored his 10th and 11th points of the night in the second quarter to push his varsity total over 1000 points. He finished with 19 points in the game, a 83-63 victory over Middleburgh.

Carrie Krohn named All American, team members named to WAC All Stars, All-Area teams

At a December awards banquet, Carrie Krohn was named to the Regional All-American Soccer team, a first in our school's history.

Girls soccer team members Addie Cornell, Carrie Krohn, Megan Krohn, Katie Krohn, Maddy Phelan and Abbie Wetsel were named to the WAC All-Star team. Carrie and Megan were also named to the All Area Team. Congrats to all.

The varsity girls tennis team served up a big win at the Invitational Maple Hill Fall Sports Weekend Girls Varsity Tennis Tournament on Oct. 14. Schoharie is 6-7 in the Colonial Council.

Phys Ed attendance policy
